Spring Break Camp!

O.k., O.k., I'm sorry we didnt' get pictures up sooner...a few technical difficulties! In fact, I still don't have the pic of the message board working right yet. However, here is the "OH MY GOSH" so cool plaque we are doing. This this is so much fun, and it's why this camp is two days! So, the first day, we're going to do all the background colors...with fun writers...only one coat!!!! I know you're all excited about that. Then, we'll fire it. When you come back the second day, we'll paint black over the top, let it dry and the scratch out our design. By the way, this picutre was taken in my bedroom...do you like the color??? Some call it day-glow, I call it FABULOUS!!!
Anyway, the message board is big...it's 8 inches x 12 inches of fun times. We'll be using a metal paint THAT DOES NOT WASH OUT OF YOUR CLOTHES!!!!!!! So, WEAR OLD CLOTHES!!! I don't want hate mail from angry moms...there's nothing worse than an angry mom! We'll also be making fun magnets for out boards using all kinds of fun stuff. So, if you have any fun small objects you would like to use on your magnets, bring them with you!!
Oh, I forgot to tell you one more thing! We have a new funtabulous friend joining us for camp this year. Her name is Lindsey Urban and she is SO MUCH FUN!! You all will LOVE her!
Well, that's all for now, but I'll post the picture of the message board when I get it!
Be Good!

Fun times in Alabama

Hi Everyone!!

Well, we're spending our last night in Alabama tonight. We have had SO MUCH FUN with our friend Julia and her family. We have eaten AMAZING food and have seen some really cool stuff! Julia's studio is a blast and so are her staff and customers! We got to attend her ladies night and met some really fun women!

So, the food...don't know if any of you have ever eaten lemon ice box pie...wow...that is about as sweet as it gets. We've been teasing Julia telling her now we understand why she has so much energy. Between the pie and the sweet tea, she's revved up! We have had some really good stuff...seafood...ahhh...the seafood!

While we will be sad to say goodbye, we're excited to come home and see y'all...just wanted you to have a taste of the South! Hope you had a great week!

Happy New Year!!! We hope the coming year proves to be the best yet for you and your family! We are really excited to get the year started at On the Pot! We'll be expanding our glass fusing with classes and tons of new samples. We sure hope you'll come try it out. I think some of you will find you like it even more than painting pottery...Julie hasn't come to that point, but Mom is WAAAYYYY loving it!

We are also anxiously awaiting our upcoming vacation. We'll be heading to Birmingham, Alabama, to visit our AWESOME friend Julia and her studio, Do-it-Yourself Crafts. You can check out her studio at: http://www.doityourselfcrafts.typepad.com/ . The cutie pie on Santa's lap is Mr. Henry...one of our favorite kids on the the whole planet.

Robin and I are always looking for new ideas to try out at On the Pot. Please, feel free to e-mail us at downwithotp@yahoo.com if you have any ideas or things you would like to see us do. Having said that, please don't be upset if we don't implement all of them. While we like to think we are superwomen, it has been shown over and over that we are not.

We have set a few New Year's Resolutions for 2008...maybe if we type them here, we will actually do them:

1. Clean the office and keep it that way...it could happen.
2. Post on our blog more than once every two months.
3. Become The Biggest Loser Workout DVD superstars...it's not pretty right now, but it WILL
get better.
4. Chaucer the cat has also vowed to work out more.
5. Re-cycling: On the Pot is attempting to go greener...at least more so. Our new studio
re-cycling center is coming very soon!

We hope to see you all very soon! You all make our lives so great! Again, Happy New Year1
Julie & Robin
