Fun times in Alabama
Well, we're spending our last night in Alabama tonight. We have had SO MUCH FUN with our friend Julia and her family. We have eaten AMAZING food and have seen some really cool stuff! Julia's studio is a blast and so are her staff and customers! We got to attend her ladies night and met some really fun women!
So, the food...don't know if any of you have ever eaten lemon ice box pie...wow...that is about as sweet as it gets. We've been teasing Julia telling her now we understand why she has so much energy. Between the pie and the sweet tea, she's revved up! We have had some really good stuff...seafood...ahhh...the seafood!
While we will be sad to say goodbye, we're excited to come home and see y'all...just wanted you to have a taste of the South! Hope you had a great week!

Reminders and Other Fun Stuff
Well, Robin and I are off to Birmingham, AL, this next week. We'll go to Kansas City Monday and then fly out early Tuesday morning. We can't wait to go as we're visiting our awesome friend Julia. We'll be excited to tell you all about it when we get back. That said, On the Pot will be closed Monday, Jan. 21 - Friday, Jan. 25. Our lovely employees will be opening the studio back up Saturday the 26th and we'll continue on with regular hours then!
Next thing...We'll be making this really cool piece in our next class on a dinner plate. We'll use sea sponges to create this fun design just in time for Valentine's Day! The class will be Sunday, February 3rd, 2:00-4:00pm. The cost is $20.00 plus tax. E-mail us to sign up while we're on vacation, or you can call when we get back!
Last thing, We're really excited about February's Ya Ya Night. It will be Friday, Feb. 22nd. This month we will be celebrating A Night at the Oscars. Study those nominees and decide who will win because we will be filling out ballots at Ya Ya Night. Once the awards are over the following Sunday, we'll tally the votes and see who got the most right choices. The winners will recieve a fun prize when they pick up their pottery! Sign up begins, Tuesday, Feb. 5th at 11:00am!
For those of you who have never been to Ya Ya Night, it's our ladies night that we done once a month. You call or e-mail for reservations and then you pay your $8.00 studio fee for the night ahead of time as your deposit. We provide appetizers and you bring whatever you want to drink. We give away prized, do trivia, and have tons of fun. You can get a group together or come by yourself and make new friends. It's a great event!

We are also anxiously awaiting our upcoming vacation. We'll be heading to Birmingham, Alabama, to visit our AWESOME friend Julia and her studio, Do-it-Yourself Crafts. You can check out her studio at: http://www.doityourselfcrafts.typepad.com/ . The cutie pie on Santa's lap is Mr. Henry...one of our favorite kids on the the whole planet.
Robin and I are always looking for new ideas to try out at On the Pot. Please, feel free to e-mail us at downwithotp@yahoo.com if you have any ideas or things you would like to see us do. Having said that, please don't be upset if we don't implement all of them. While we like to think we are superwomen, it has been shown over and over that we are not.
We have set a few New Year's Resolutions for 2008...maybe if we type them here, we will actually do them:
1. Clean the office and keep it that way...it could happen.
2. Post on our blog more than once every two months.
3. Become The Biggest Loser Workout DVD superstars...it's not pretty right now, but it WILL
get better.
4. Chaucer the cat has also vowed to work out more.
5. Re-cycling: On the Pot is attempting to go greener...at least more so. Our new studio
re-cycling center is coming very soon!
We hope to see you all very soon! You all make our lives so great! Again, Happy New Year1
Julie & Robin
